The Trachyte is commercialized as a workable rock for building products and urban furnishings. In Italy , you can find it in many places : Sardinia and, above all, in the Euganean Hills area, in the province of Padua.

Since olden days up to the present., the trachyte has been primarily used, for road pavings, sidewalks and its borders. Lately , due to its various colours range and the easiness to be cut into thin slabs, then polished, it also fits for the purpose of coating and decoration of buildings, both outdoor and indoor (stairs and floors).
